    hi All,

    in my organisation i have a primary DC and a secondary DC.now my secondary DC got crashed and Primary DC working well.

    i want to reconfigure a new addtional DC. so should i remove the Secondary DC from Primary DC.

    how can i remove the secondary domain from Main Dc.??

    remove the active directory in your secondary DC via dcpromo/forceremoval and after that reinstall the active directory via dcpromo command.......and make it a adittion dc agian....

    wt is the problem????

      thank you for your reply,

      actually now my Secondary DC is offline , its not booting.it hard disk failure .

      then how can i remove the Active directory?

      can i remove from Primary DC?

        wt u want to remove from pdc?
        and wt u want to do exactly?? if the secondary dc's hdd is crashed u just change the hdd...and do the config again...wt is the problem bro.....

          dear Ht,

          actually my SDC is now crashed and offline. the hard disk not available in the market.

          i installed a new windows server freshly and wants to make this as a SDC.

          so, the primary domain containing that old SDC configuration.,

          how can i remove that config from PDC

            ok..so try to transfer your all FSMO roll from pdc to sdc....

            so ur sdc becoming pdc.....
