  • Server 2003 Max CPU usage

If you are having this problem again (it is not the first time this issue has plagued the Microsoft community), you can find the latest patch to resolve this issue via a security update at:

Well, I can't post URL's yet... so look for MS Patch #13-097.

This is to resolve where the Windows Automatic Updates is consuming ALL of your host CPU, and not appearing to do much at all - especially not perform updates.

If you are unsure if Autromatic Updates is what is sucking up your CPU, then run 'net stop wuauserv' at a command prompt. If your CPU drops back to normal, Automatic Updates is your culprit, and the above patch should resolve your issue.

The "problem" seems a little vague - lots of things can max out CPU usage - but thank you for posting
