  • Disable & enable network card issue

I have one windows server 2003 server with two NIC cards installed.

1st Nic is for local network
and the 2nd NIC for public network..

some times my public NIC network not responding...
In order to work i'm disabling and re-enable the network...

I tried two swap NIC for private and public ...

I have already uninstall the drivers and update the drivers.

Can any one advise me the permanent solution.

Re: Disable & enable network card issue

Could you please tell us the make of network card involved? Also what is it connected to?

When it "stops responding" what troubleshooting can you do:
    Ping loopback (should always work)
Ping IP of card from server
    Ping something else from server
    Ping card from elsewhere?

Re: Disable & enable network card issue

      Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet

pinging working from local network to loopback and private ip address...

The public ip ethernet cable is connected to core switch..

normally i can ping the public ip from local network , but when the problem arises i'm unable to ping...

so, i will login through teamviewer/ remote desktop of the private ip :

Disable the wan/public ip network and re-enable.
