  • Selected Users on a Desktop to Log

    Hi,

We have Windows 2003R2 SP2 Server. I wan to Configure A Desktop where only Selected 2-3 users can log in; others cannot.

We do not have OU all users are under "USERS" container in AD. some groups are configured.

I tried below but it did not worked.

My Computer right click >Manage>Local Users & Groups>"Users" group

Removed the "Domain Users" from the "Users Group"

Added the list of users and "Domain Administrator" in the "Users" Group

So what did not work? -- the procedure looks OK, but you should check on the client what other groups might come into things -- perhaps domain users is in local admins group, for example.

Have you run RSoP to check the GPO is being applied?

This is a bit crude but might be your solution.
        on the computer run gpedit.msc
and browse to the location on the picture.
Also try this on a test computer first.
