  • AD 'local path' login

I guess this is a noob question but I haven't done it and need an answer quickly.
I have set up AD and roaming/mandatory profiles but have not done a 'local path' profile login.
Does the admin and AD/GP have the same level of Group Policy controls over the locally logged in domain user?
That is, in AD/Users and Computers/user/properties, the profile tab has a 'local path' button. It's this domain login but local path that I am enquiring about.

All this is doing is setting where the profile is stored. It has no effect on which group policies are applied (none of the profile settings do)
