a strange question (since i don't know IIS so good I hope I'll be able to explain myself).

If i host a website called www.poly.com, is there a way to set up the IIS settings so that www.*.poly.com will be valid as well?
i.e. if the *=home, and i open a directory called "home", the web address www.home.poly.com will be a valid working address.
then, if I'll open another directory called "street" then www.street.poly.com will be valid as well.
the poing is to create directories that will not be used in the end of the address like www.poly.com/home...

hope I was able to explain myself right

Yes you need to use host headers, but don't forget that your DNS will have to be setup for each subdomain and each subdomain will require a host record for www.

For each site you setup you will then need to set the home directory to the appropriate path.

    topper.
