    Hi all,

    How can i migrate a windows 2000 sp4 files server to a windows 2008 R2 ?
    Datas size about 200Go.

    Which tools can i used ? I would keep if it's possible shared folders and ntfs permissions ?

    Could use robocopy with the /SEC switch and re-share andy apply share permissions again at the destination server.
    Or use a third party tool like Secure Copy (Scriptlogic) which is quite expensive but it does everything on the fly for you.

      I usually use Microsoft's File Server Migration toolkit. Free from the MS downloads site.
