  • Can't log on locally

Does anybody know why I can log on remotely to my Windows Server 2003, but not locally? I can't remember the prompt it gives me when I try to log in, but I know that I cannot access it from the KVM switch. It seems odd to me.

    Thanks!!

if you can provide the message, that would be helpful. Is there a local policy that me be denying you the right to log on locally, but not via RDP?

Yes, specific error messages would be helpful.

Technically you need the Log on Locally right to use RDP. So if you can logon though RDP then you should be able to logon at the console.

      Is this a Domain Controller?
