  • WSUS for 2003 servers without domain

    Dear Experts,

We have VMWare setup and on which we build lab VM's with guest OS Win 2003 R2 Std. and our application development department run their applications on these lab VM's. Now before I handover these labs to application team I need to make windows updates. I need to know way in which I can use WSUS to update these test VM's which are not member of domain because actually there is no requirement for these servers to be domain members.

What and where to make changes to get this working because I do not want to use internet bandwidth all the time for individual updates of servers.

    Thanks,
    Wajeeh

Lots of articles about it -- essentially make the same registry changes the WSUS GPO makes -- WSUS isnt worried about where the clients are
