    when i login in win 2000 professional,there comes message to increase registry size,how can i increase it as well as write about that what is it.

    The registry is a "container" with most system and application settings in it.

    To change the size, right click "My Computer" and select Properties.
    Click on the "Advanced" tab then "Performance Options". Click on the "Change" button and then change the registry size in the bottom of the new dialog box.
    OK to close all the boxes and you may have to reboot.

      Registry Size Limit functionality has been removed from Windows Server 2003 and from Windows XP
      The ability of users to change the Registry Size Limit has been removed from Windows XP & Server 2003. See MS KB Article:
