  • Renew Expired Certificate (Windows 2003)

Certificate for our Office Communicator Server expired 3 days ago.

Microsoft's instructions for certificate renewal -- http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...8WS.10%29.aspx -- are pretty straight forward:
    1. Open the Certificates console for the user, computer, or service you want to manage.

    2. In the console tree, select the correct store that has the certificate you want to request.
For example, under Certificates – Current User, expand Personal, click Certificates.

    3. In the details pane, click the certificate you are renewing.

    4. On the Action menu, point to All Tasks, and then click Renew Certificate with Same Key to start the Certificate Renewal Wizard.
The problem is that "Renew Certificate" is not an option.

Is this a public certificate or issued via certificate services?

You will need to renew it via Comodo and import into the certificate store -- see the note on the page you link to above -- instructions only apply to an Enterprise CA
