  • kerberos client received a KRB_AP_ERR_TKT_NYV error

i found this error in my server..

The kerberos client received a KRB_AP_ERR_TKT_NYV error from the server myserver$. This indicates that the ticket used against that server is not yet valid (in relationship to that server time). Contact your system administrator to make sure the client and server times are in sync, and that the KDC in realm domain_name is in sync with the KDC in the client realm.

what is this error and how can i slove it..

    thanks

Re: kerberos client received a KRB_AP_ERR_TKT_NYV error

    Hi,

It would seem that your requesting server have a different time setting than the rest of your network.

check the time on the requesting server and compare it to the KDC server.
Verify that they don't differ too much.
Check the timezone on each server.

Look in your event logs for w32time errors on the requesting server.

Run CMD.exe on your requesting server:
net time - local time and possible NTP time source should be returned.
net time /DOMAIN:domainname - check the time on the domain.
net time /querysntp - returns your Network Time Server, if any is configured (should be if you are in a domain env.).

    Try:
    net time /DOMAIN:domainname /set /y

      Maaaaaaaaaaaan .....

You are totally right... that server has different time from the reset of the network server...

I will try now to run the command you give me and see if it will solve the problem or at least it will give me an idea what is going on..

I hope it works and solve my problem...... I will let you know.....

      Thanks,
