Is there any way i can get these to play nice?

I just added 31 windows 7 clients to my network, a couple of things we're suffering from:

    - long logon times (works fine on xp)
    - 'trust relationship' errors when trying to logon, a restart fixes this
    - group policy doesn't apply things like proxy settings

We do plan to raise the forest level of our 2008 and decommission the 2007 server but this isnt' planned for a few weeks.

    Any suggestions?

your long login times are probibly related to your group policy problems.

I'd put the win7PCs in an OU all on thier own with a stripped out group policy, login time should be much better, then from there start adding in group policys and see what it starts breaking on.
There's probibly better ways to troubleshoot GP problems, if anyone else would care to enlighten I'd much appreciate it.

We came across this on a vista PC - it seemed to hang on login. took us ages to figure out what the problem was. found that pulling the network cable during login would allow it to get through. then, for some reason I tried a 'gpupdate /force' which never finished, rang my boss who said 'oh! I added a printer via GP, try that'
