  • Locate my NNTP

How can I see what my domain NNTP server is?

I need to check this against what I have set up on my telecoms switch as the time on the PC's is about 1 minute out from the time on our desk phones.

    Re: Locate my NNTP

I think you mean you NTP server if you looking for time.

Anyway if you haven't set one up then it should be your PDC Emulator that handles the time for your domain PC's.

Use that and sync to it.

      Re: Locate my NNTP

Do you mean NTP (network time protocol)?
      NNTP is for newsgroups

Normally (unless you have changed anything), all windows machines will sync off the PDC emulator FSMO, which you set to sync with an external source. AFAIK this doesnt use NTP so you would probably want to sync the comms gear off the same external time server.

Yeh, sorry meant NTP not NNTP.

So if I used the FQDN of my PDC server that should work.

        I'll give it a try

        Cheers

Windows Time Service is NOT full NTP (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...63(WS.10).aspx) but well worth a try anyway
