  • How to configure the wmsde in sharepoint service

    Hi
I installed in Server2003 sharepoint service
And it installed automaticly the WMSDE
Now i have "sql server service manager" in the system tray
    How can i configure it?
Beacuse i want to add a search option to the sharepoint service
And i know that i need a sql server or similar for this
Is there any guide for it?

    Thanks

Re: How to configure the wmsde in sharepoint service

Its bad idea to use Share Point and MSDE/WMSDE (Perfomance, database size, backup etc.).
Please use full SQL server and then you can use advanced feathers like
    search.

Re: How to configure the wmsde in sharepoint service

If you can move to SQL you really should. The WMSDE databse is limited to 2GB by default and I don't believe there is a way around that.
