  • RDP on a Terminal Server

Here is my problem. I have a terminal server setup to launch a program in the environment tab of the terminal services config. Works great. Launches the program and the user do not get a desktop.

What I want to do is launch windows explorer to open a specific folder with shortcuts for the user, and not get a desktop. When I do this it opens explorer to the correct folder but I get a desktop. Guess windows explorer is not considered an application.

Not sure what I am missing?? ANY help is greatly appreciated.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but the actual windows desktop is explorer.exe You need to launch some kind of explorer alternative. Kidsmenu will probably work just fine.

        Gerth,

You are correct, sorry my bad. Thanks for the kids menu suggestion too. Some users are worse than kids!
