How have you got ISA forwarding requests?

Is it set to come from original client or from ISA? This can be found In the Publishing Rule under the To Tab

Alan - could you give me some more information on that 403 error ?

down th bottom, it should "technical support information" or something, and another code - it may be up to 5 digits long.
      could you give me that?

even a screen capture of the whole page would be good

Did you check on how ISA proxies requests? Is this a secure web publishing rule or standard one?

          Cheers

            Hi Everyone,

I had managed to resolve the issue by

            1. disallowing the authentication to the web server, let the sharepoint AAM perform the authenication.

            2. the f5 load balancer had to be fine tune on the return traffic since intially it come in through port 80 and the return traffic is port 443 and 442 that use by the sharepoint web application.
