  • Server 2003

I have Acer Altos G330 server which the administrator password lost. The server has raid controler. Since I add a new sata drive to the system, the raid controler is not see raid array. I rermoved the hard drive, But no go. I forgot to say, the system has window server 2003.
I am trying to load a second server on seperate had drive and try to access the data. Could you help me to reset the raid? I did not remove or add any device to raid array.

    Re: Server 2003

Has SBS been installed on this Server?
What has the Administrator password got to do with the RAID controller?
Is this the G330 or G330 Mk 2?
What RAID controller did you use? LSI or the onboard Intel?
    1 1 was a racehorse.
    2 2 was 1 2.
    1 1 1 1 race 1 day,
    2 2 1 1 2

The system is G330. I install a new sata drive to install another window 2003 in order to retrive data. the raid is LSI. I did not change any raid config too.

More info about your setup in one hit would be really nice. Here we are at post #6 before it is confirmed it is Windows Server 2003 when it was posted in the SBS Forum.

I still fail to understand what forgetting the Administrator password has to do with adding an HDD to the RAID array.

What RAID are you using on this Server?

Lastly, how many HDDs do you have in this Server and what are their sizes?
Why not use the appropriate tools to change the Administrator password so you don't have to install a whole new operating system to recover the data? http://forums.petri.com/showthread.php?t=2438
