  • xcacls.vbs for "This Folder only"

    Hi,

I am trying to replace Everyone on the root drive of each server with Authenticated Users.
I need to apply Full Control for Authenticated Users for "This Folder only"

I have applied the following on a Windows 2003 server from a remote Windows 2003 server.

    cscript xcacls.vbs \\serverA\e$ /SPEC A /E /G "Authenticated Users":F

The command seems to run and is applying but then informs me that it is

"Granting NTFS rights (F to this Folder and Files). I thought though that the /SPEC A switch is supposed to apply it only to "This folder".

Any idea what is wrong with the command and why this is not applying correctly?

    Thanks,

    Barbara
