  • Adding DNS Search Suffix to servers

I've been asked to add the DNS Search Suffix of a new domain we are implementing to all servers, however I'm wary that one or more servers may have extra DNS Search Suffixes already manually entered.

Is there a way to record the DNS Search suffix for each server to see what they are all set to before I release a new GPO which will re-write the DNS Suffix values?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

You can write powershell code or vb code using following wmi class Win32_NetworkAdapterConfiguration and query for DNSDomainSuffixSearchOrder
