How is it possible to deny specific user/grop from access to internet.
doea it need any policy settings or any program.

    Re: deny access to internet

To accomplish this you need to use a proxy or a router with filtering abilities.

The DC doesn't stand between the client PCs and the internet so it won't work by itself.

I have the same senario. however, if you do not have ISA or proxy try to remove the proxy setting from the GPO and it will work.

          Re: deny access to internet

you will find it in (User Configuration) ->windows setting-> Internet Explorer Maintenance ->Connection->proxy setting.

At this point remove any setting and it should be fine

But what if he doesn't have a proxy? What will the removing of the settings in GPO accomplish?

You need to use a FW/Proxy/NAT Filter device or software to do what you ask.

However, if you're keen on performing this in a different way, why not read this:

if not, he can paly with GPO setting for the Internet explorer for the proxy setting - put for example invalid IP address or an IP address or server name that are not taken the user to the internet then disable changing proxy setting for that GPO.

                Re: deny access to internet

Firstly we need to know how your users connect to the internet ?

Once we know this we can help you out.
