IP address at command prompt

  • IP address at command prompt

    i have 2 computers,when i unpluged cable from NIC from client side,and try to check IP on server side at command prompt.there is no IP at all showing that a parameter that cable unplugged.what is problem.

    is it a cross cable or something?

      W2K/XP/2003 has an auto-sense for the NIC. No cable plugged? No hub on the other end? No TCP/IP binding. Very useful for laptops travelling from one segment to the other.
