I have a windows 2003 DC and Exchange 2003 installed on the same Dell Server in my office.

I would like to know how to mesure the DC and Exchange performance ?
Which counters / Software/ 3'd party software to use to see if the DC or Exchange performance is ok.

    Re: DC performance

well, what things are you interested in monitoring ?

start with the inbuilt system monitoring tools, it's called Perfmon.

Probably look at cpu, disk and memory utilisation to start with.

the most important thing you can do is create a "baseline" - ie record details for a little while and establish what an average usage pattern is. Then, once you know what that is, you can know when your system is working harder than normal etc

Note it is very bad practice to have the DC and Exchange on the same box, but now you do you are stuck with it. Do not demote DC as it will break Exchange badly.
