  • question about RRAS and static routing

    Hi

I wanted to know how do I prevent my router from accepting updates to the routing table?

Where do I configure this & what should I configure?

    thanks

RRAS only accepts updates if OSPF or RIP is active. Remove those protocols and you should be fine. But I'm not sure what you mean, since you mention static routes?

What I want to do is the following:

Configure RIP v.2 so that updates can be received by both RIP v1 & v2 routers but announcements from other routers will not cause an update to my server's routing table (the one with RRAS installed).

So you have some RRAS servers that should only listen to each others updates, is that it?

I'm still not sure if I understand you correctly, because this is a bit trivial. Anyway, on the RIP properties there is a tab NEIGHBORS where you can configure the IP's it should talk to insteald of using broadcasts.
