    hi,

    i would like to know about ris installation through win 2003 server sp2


    and know that if it is possible to create logical drive partion after loading xp in workstation.

    If nothing else, you should be able to do this by scripting diskpart to run in the post installation phase (when the workstation first boots after imaging)

    But there may be other ways to do it -- my RIS is rather rusty....
    You might also want to look at WDS which, IIRC, is supported with 2003R2

      Ossian is correct, RIS is deprecated as of Server 2003 SP2 (So long as RIS was installed prior to the installation of SP2).

      With WDS you can use the Unattended install files to create custom partitions during the install process.

        Just to clarify, WDS is included in 2003 SP2, but it can be installed in previous version as it is part of Windows AIK.
