  • Local users unable to access shared folders

    Dear Techies,

We have a java application running on windows server 2003 member server, this application needs anonymous access to the shared folder in this server, we edited the local policy of the server and enabled anonymous access for all the users to this shared folders , and until now it's working fine, suddenly today I have noticed only domain users can able to access shared folders without promoting for credentials, normal users who are logged in with local user accounts on their laptops not able to browse the folder and it is asking for credentials. Please help me to give anonym nous access to all the users irrespective of domain user or local user.

we have windows 2008 GC & DC in Environment.

    Thanks in advance.

Any Immediate Help will be Highly Appreciated.

    Cheers,
    gowtham

How are the share and security permissions configured? Is the Everyone or Guest group configured for access?

Are the share access permissions identically configured.
