  • Making local profiles in D: instead of C:

    Hi All,
I have a query, is it possible in an AD (2003) to ensure that the user folders, like desktop / My Documents etc are created on D: instead of default C:. I tried to do this by changing the Profile option in user - it created the folders in D: but still created files in the C:.
P.S. I am not using roaming profiles, all profiles are created locally in clients.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Shaunak

Re: Making local profiles in D: instead of C:

There is a registry hack to change profile location (note it does not apply to existing profiles, only to new ones)
    Lots of links here: http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en...meta=&aq=f&oq=

I presume its the location on your clients you want to change -- if so you could roll out the registry mod via GPO. If its on your servers, you could change them manually
