  • Host points to wrong IP address

Sometimes some of our hosts does not resolve right. For example:
SERVER1 (dummy name) should resolve as
    but instead it points to

If I stop the DNS Cache service, it works right, but then later on (a couple days maybe) It starts acting up.

Same for the www entry. We have a custom www entry in the domain. It stops pointing to the external IP address.

The DNS servers have the correct addresses and there are no wrong entries. I can't find the cause.

    Any ideas?

Check your DNS server for manually entered A records (also hosts files, but I hope you aren't using THEM!)
