  • Logging usernames on computers

    Greetings!

I would like to solve this situation.

I have the computername who responds to ip, but I would like to know which user is currently logged on. Let's presume that remote desktop connection is not allowed or it's off. Is it also possible to check who was the last user that has connected to this specific computer?

    With best regards,

    Bostjan

    Re: Logging usernames on computers

you would need to audit Logon Events, and enable this policy on the domain controller

You event logs will fill up quickly though so probably best to put it into the logon script and write to a text file.

I'm positive something like this has been done in the scripting forum so best check there for a script to do it.
