  • Auto delete files older than specified date

    Hello all,

I'm running Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 and am searching for a way to target specific folders and have them delete files that are a certain age (or older) automatically.

Example: Data in Marketing, Jobs, and Users folders older than 4 years from today will be deleted and will continue to delete 4 year old data from now on.

Is this possible? If not, can anyone recommend 3rd party?

    Thanks for your time.

    Ty

I use a simle batch file to delete backups older then 14 days. In case this helps you.

    Code:
    E:
    cd E:\Backups\SRVDC2K3

    forfiles -p E:\Backups\SRVDC2K3 -m *.bkf -d -14 -c "cmd /c del @file"
