  • Folder Redirection Problem with Vista Client and Server 2003 Domain

I just added my 1st Vista Client to my network managed by Server 2003.

Folder redirection isn't working the way its supposed to and the way it works in my XP clients. For example:
    - The desktop isn't redirecting. It doesn't show any of the files that are saved on the desktop, and anything saved on the desktop is not saved to the share.
-My documents isn't redirecting. Again, the documents don't show up and anything saved isn't saved in the share.

If I want to access my desktop or my documents I would have to go:
    \\server\users\john\desktop

Is there some capatability issue I'm not aware off. I though this should be simple, especially for some of the users that have roaming profiles.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Had some issues with this myself, but the following link should supply you with many answers.
And NO the XP and Vista profiles are definitly not the same. But they can be made to be exchangable. Good luck

      Thank you.
Put this down in list of priorities, but I will post back with results/knowledge when I get to it.
