  • difficult problem

I have windows 2000 server installed with service pack 3.

I recently demoted the server from being DC and deleted it's computer account from the domain.
After the first restart I tried to log on using the local account, but the local policy didn't allowed me to log on interactively.
"The Local Policy of the system doesn't permit you to log on interactively"
I tried my lack with cached credentials but no luck.

Any idea how can I reset the policy state without using tools like AdminPak that cost money?

    Much thanks.

Open an MMC, Add the group policy snap in and edit the policy to allow interactive login.
