    Re: Active Connections

The easiest way to close your unknown connection, is to know which process is opening and using those connection.
For that you can use the netstat command with some more parameter :
    netstat -abon
The output going to look like this :
    Active Connections

Proto Local Address Foreign Address State PID
    TCP 0.0.0.0:53 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING 1292
    [dns.exe]

    TCP 0.0.0.0:88 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING 412
    [lsass.exe]

    TCP 0.0.0.0:135 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING 760
    RpcSs
    [svchost.exe]

    TCP 0.0.0.0:389 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING 412
    [lsass.exe]

    TCP 0.0.0.0:445 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING 4
    [System]

    TCP 0.0.0.0:464 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING 412
    [lsass.exe]

    TCP 0.0.0.0:593 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING 760
    RpcSs
    [svchost.exe]
    ...
so you will know who is doing what.
From the land of the rising sun ...
