  • Antivirus 2003 Server

    hi.. i m new to this forum, great regards to All.
    i have installed windows 2003 server enterprise edition in my home for practice, i want to install anti virus on it. plz tell me the link where i can find best freeware anti virus for my server.
    i have a laptop which i have install XP SP3.
    what is the best environment for the client server, ISA, Exchange practice,
    waiting for ur kind suggestion and help.. thnx in Advance

    avast AVG is free i beleive

    however, if you're just doing stuff at home, keep the server off the internet, then you shouldn't get viruses on it

          Look up ClamWin
          It's the only free-antivirus for server 2003 that I know of.

                Also note that ClamWin is not an "on-access" scanner. You can only manually let it scan or by a schedule. Which means that it could take a long time before a virus is detected.

                  Yes, correct, I should have mentioned that is not on-access anti-virus, but it does provide on access for e-mails with Microsoft Outlook (which is what I think most ppl need anyway).

                  Also, you can mess around with settings and schedules nighly scans. So at least you don't have to worry about running scans.
