  • Delegate Print Spooler Services

    I want to delegate printer spooler services to helpdesk so they can stop / restart the spooler services when required, How can I accomplish this using local security policy? Is it possilbe, I do now want helpdesk user to be member or Administrators group.

    yes, it's possible - howevert you have to give them permissions to all the services....

      Thanks tehcam, I will look into that and try to apply on member server where my print spooler service are running.

        Why not create a script that does its for them.

          I already have script in place to check the status of print spooler service and restart the service if the spooser is off but, I also want to delegate rights to user for them to manuall go and restart the services if required
