  • cyclad-z.inf and cyclad-y.inf missing when Installing 2003

    Hi

All just building a new DC and the 2k3 install says it is missing cyclad-z.inf and cyclad-y.inf. Ive had a look on google but its full of people missing this from XP installs.

The CD is not the original its a copy of our original. I had this before and the server runs happily. Any ideas what these files do? Can i copy the files manually later?

    Thanks

    Chris

start from replacing the installation media.
it could be a bad cd drive, flat cable (ide), dimms, etc.
    seems like a hardware problem
    Good Luck

Well both servers seem happy enough. I have a copy of both files which i think belong in %systemroot%\inf so we will see how they go. I thought it was a dodgy CD, ive had it with Windows 2000 professional before but different files (usually the mouse cursor files... odd eh!?)
