    how to change a dc to master?

    DC1 was died. (Master)

    DC3 is salve.

    how to change the DC3 to master DC?

    i have try this "regsvr32 schmmgmt.dll", however cannot work.


    Current Environment: Win2003 std r2 with sp2

        Well, from a quick read, that is expected:
        Attempted safe transfer -- failed as old DC is not available (generated error)
        Seized role -- succeeded

        If you check the current fsmo holders, you should see that DC3 has them all -- I presume this is the one you meant when you said DC2 in your original post?
