  • how to print from remote server to local printer?

    hi,
I have a question, my company has a webserver host in a datacenter, and I can access it using remote desktop, and I have been ask to print some material from that erver to the network printer in my local office.
the network printer has it's own ip 192.168.1.22, and we have one Dlink router connect to DSL modem.
I trie to add a new local port at remote server , and put \\my router's IP\printername at port name, but it give me an error says" can't find path".
I can't figure out how to forward the print request through the Dlink router to the network printer?

    thanks in advance!

another way is to implement http printing.
install iis and internet printing protocol on the local network.
configure a printer in the remote web server to print to the print device on the local network through http port
      Good Luck
