  • Random network share connection drops

We current have several file servers and we’re trying to implement a DFS namespace to have a single path. On Windows Storage Server R2 we set a DFS to point \\nas\folder\1\ to shares on server1.

We been using the \\server1\1\ for a long time and had no issues but after setting up the DFS we’re getting periodic “not \\nas\folder\1\ not accessible. You might not have permissions to use the network resource… Windows cannot find the network path…” if we refresh or try the link again it works.

As I said this only started to happen after implementing DFS on the NAS and the error is occurring randomly, is there a connection limit or something that would be causing this?

    Thanks.
