  • problem with event id 36

i have windows 2003 x64 server and i received in event viewer error event id 36 source w32tm. I did synchronization with internal source. In Registry i I made a change:
    Code:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time
     \Config\AnnounceFlags
In the AnnounceFlags i inserted 10.
All was ok. But today the error showed again
    Where is now mistake?
    thank's

First undo any registry changes you've made.

    Then do this:

    Code:
    w32tm /resync

    If still no go then:

Clear out HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\W32Time\Parameters's "NtpServer" value entry by running this command.

    Code:
    w32tm /config /syncfromflags:DOMHIER /update

    Restart

    Then:
    Code:
    w32tm /resync /rediscover

Try that and let me know

Post your W32 registry and GPO settings so we can see the whole picture.

When you run services.msc can you see that the time service is set to automatic?

What time events are being logged on the server and the clients?
