Re: Access is denied when view Service Dependencies

I use Administrator user (of course in Administrators group) in Desktop screen and use "Local system" account for services

        try this one ?

        http://www.experts-exchange.com/OS/M..._22416966.html

this could also be a domain security policy issue, if you've unassigned permissions by accident, or set the wrong sort of policy not realising.. (I've done something similar - I set a policy to enabled, but didn't add anyone to it, so technically everyone got denied)

Could you please post it here, I don't have Expert-Exchange account

This server does not join domain, so I think cause of local policy

          Thanks

Change your RPC service to Network Service for the login.

RPC service already was setup run by Network Service before

you don't need an EE account. Simply scroll right to the bottom.

Alternately, I think someone here has a blog post on how to setup a free EE Account... i'm just trying to remembre who

I scroll right to the bottom but no answer to see without account

I find out more, when I try command "dcomcnfg", I see Component Services/Computers/My Computer is red narrow. I already follow some guides in Internet to check, add and repair permission right but it still is not resolved

Re: Access is denied when view Service Dependencies

I think there are some thing strangers in my server. Let's see pictures
                    - Local service user to run service has not right
                    - Network connections disappear but hardware exist and network works normally
                    - Component fails
                    - Some services can not start/stop

But I still don't find out the cause

Re: Access is denied when view Service Dependencies

First of all i'd try starting the netlogon service.

Have you been fiddling with the services at all??? Can you list all the services that are on your system and what the current status of them is.

                      e.g. netlogon manual

Also have you scanned the machine for viruses and malware as this may actually be an infection of some sort.

Re: Access is denied when view Service Dependencies

I try to start Net Logon service, nothing is un-normal, it shows "the net logon service on local computer started then stopped. ..."

Other services "Startup Type" are normal also

                        I've checked virus, malware

                        I
guess the issue from Component services, let see picture with My computer is red

Re: Access is denied when view Service Dependencies

Are you really sure as the netlogon service is supposed to start automatically and stays running the entire time the computer is on.

No, Net Logon is "Manual" and status "Stopped" as other normal server now

Re: Access is denied when view Service Dependencies

                              A couple of things:

                              1. The red X in dcomcnfg is because the MS DTC service is stopped (Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator).

                              2. The MS DTC service should be set to Automatic startup running under the Network Service account.

                              3. The Net Logon service should be set to Automatic startup running under the Local System account.

Try to get these two service running under the correct accounts, then check dcomcnfg, then see if you can get everything working normally.
