  • add policy to one user of ou

    i dont' understrand
    how can i apply more different policy to a single users
    normally i make in ad enviroment ( user and pc of ad) a new ou and i put into this new ou the users that must receive the policy
    how can i do if only a user of this ou must receive a different policy as upgrade of main policy ?

    * Create a new GPO
    * in the security tab of that GPO add only the specific user

      but the new ou must be created under the old gpo for allow to the user of have also the gpo rules of the ou higher add to new policy linked to new ou ?

        Create a sub OU
        Move the user there
        Create a new GPO and apply to the sub OU

          When you create a GPO it has apply set for domain users. You can remove this and just add a single user if you wish as well. (This is what bio was saying).

              Yes -- check out "block inheritance"
              Note this is "all or nothing" as it will block ALL gpos applying from the parent or above
              (Unless the "enforce" option is set on the GPO, which will override blocks)

              Suggestion: Plan what you want before diving in and implementing anything
