  • Creating an Isolated FTP site- folder redirection not working as intended.

    I have created an FTP site using the IIS located on the LAN at 10.1.3.10. Two users exist, both are local users of the IIS server:

    * MC3000
    * Test

    I have setup Virtual directories for both users as such:

    * MC3000 => Mapped to "D:\Sigma FTP Root\LocalUser\MC3000"
    * Test => Mapped to "D:\Sigma FTP Root\LocalUser\Test\SubTest"

    When using CuteFTP, say, to logon as MC3000, the FTP server uses this folder as the home folder:

    "D:\Sigma FTP Root\LocalUser\MC3000"

    When I logon as Test, the FTP server uses this folder as the home folder:

    "D:\Sigma FTP Root\LocalUser\Test"

    Why does it NOT set the SubTest folder as the root as specified in the Virtual Directory?

    To make things interesting, in IIS, I right-clicked the Virtual Directory and click the Browse option which opens the FTP logon dialog. When I logon as user Test, it sets my home directory to:

    "D:\Sigma FTP Root\LocalUser\Test\SubTest"

    ....as it should. Can anyone explain why this is ocurring? Thanks.

    Windows 2K3 Server SP1.
