  • Internal DNS resolving issue

    Hi,

I inherited a LAN that was configured with old.com domain.

There is also a public website called old.com that is being redirected to an updated new.com website. (following so far?)

People in the company complain that when they go to the www.old.com they get the old website content. So I added a www cname to point to www.new.com.

    Alias(CNAME): www
    FQDN: www.old.com
    FQDN for Target: www.new.com

For some reason I get Bad Request Invalid Host Name. (on any PC including the DNS server)

If I do www.new.com from a browser it goes there.

    Any thoughts?

    tnx,
    Yosi

If they are getting old data then what is serving that if the public site redirects to the new one?
