  • Want to add a 2003 DC in a Samba/Exchange 2003 environment

I would like to Slowly migrate to a AD 2003 DC for our company. We have a mixed environment and do not host our .com. I do not have an standalone DNS server except for our Exchange server which is using DNS resolver for internal request out. I would like to create a a new DC w/ AD but it needs to install DNS.

how can I configure DNS as a resolver when installing AD on a new DC?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

I am a bit confused by this. As far as I am aware SAMBA provides file and print services only and not Directory services!
So I am a bit unsure about the term SAMBA Domain! (Unless anyone can enlighten me)

If you want to join Samba to an existing AD domain then look at this: http://www.enterprisenetworkingplane...le.php/3487081
