  • Fail over solution

    Hi.

I have two HP servers. One is Windows 2003 std + ISA 2006, and the other is Windows 2003 std (x64) + Exchange 2007 + Black Berry enterprise.

I want to create a fail over (Minimal downtime) solution for both of them in case of a hardware failure.

    I think of two alternatives:

    1. Use Microsoft clustering.
    2. Use a visualization solution with the ability to move VM from one physical machine to another

I'll appreciate your help to find the best solution.

    Regards,

    Moshe.

    Re: Fail over solution

Another option is to use third party failover solutions. One place that I work for uses SteelEye's LifeKeeper for SQL Servers as well as Exchange 2003. Many other third-party tools abound as well.
