      Re: IIS/DNS error

an error 400 sounds like a Host Header problem.

I would ensure that the IIS site is listening on the correct IP address, and the correct port, and most importantly - if you have a host header configured, you try to access the server by that name.

      For instance:

if you have a host header of serverA.mydomain.com for ip 192.168.1.1 on port 80
and nothing else configured, You can ONLY access that website on that hostheader - ie http://servera.mydomain.com

However, if you have no host header for ipo 192.168.1.1 on port 80, then you can use

      http://192.168.1.1 or http://serverA.mydomain.com or http://anything-else-that-resolves-to-that-ip-address.

You shouldn't need to reinstall IIS to resolve this one.

the error that i'm seeing your website provide now is "connection refused" - so either you are in the midst of re-installing IIS, or you have stopped IIS.
It's also possible that your IP Address may have changed !

        Re: IIS/DNS error

It is not a any header problems. I'm aslo getting the same 'connection refused' err!

The website is working inside IIS MMC snap-in ?

          Re: IIS/DNS error

Well, a connection refused error is vastly different to an error 400, which is invalid hostname.

          Some more about your infrastructure:

Does your provider give you a static, or dynamic IP ?
Check what your ip address is with http://www.whatismyip.com
Does this match your DNS entry for www.meyernetworks.net ? I resolve it as 76.125.209.66
Forwarding: what device do you have doing forwarding from your public address to your internal address ? (or do you have a routed address to this server ?)
Are you using ISA in between, or some other proxy of some sort ?
Is the IP address for your server assigned via DHCP ?

Can you browse, from your local workstation (not on the server, not in the IIS console) to the webpage, using the internal IP address for the server ? ie http://192.168.1.1/

              Re: IIS/DNS error

I reinstalled the IIS. I use zoneedit for the DNS forward to my external IP.
