  • Reduce Registry Size of Windows 2000 Server

    Dear Mr Daniel,

    Need your help.

I found out that our 3 servers' registry size are keep on increasing. Although i have set the registry size more higher BUT 2 more weeks later, the system will prompt me again to increase the size of the registry.

May I know how to reduce the size of the registry instead of the increasing the registry size?

Besides that, what is the maximum of the registry size if my servers have 1 GB of RAM ?

    Pls advise.

    tq,
    PL

there is a windows 2000 resource kit tool called dureg you can download it for free at http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000...ng/dureg-o.asp.

also there is overview of the registry size at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=124594

check the size of the paging pool to see if it increasing. it may couse the problem.
    Good Luck
