    Hi

    First of all Hello to everyone.

    I want some help from you. I have a some shared folder with ntfs permission on windows 2k3 server. Now i want to move those folders to the another folder. How can i completed this task. I am try to using the robocopy and other tool but no luck.

    Can anybody tell me the step by step, how can i complete this task

    Example - I want to copy the shared folder named "Test" in "server1" to copy the server "server2" with the same shared folder "Test"

    Hi,

    What's the exact command you are using there and the error?
    You can give this a try Xcopy source [Destination] /E /O
    Check Xcopy /? for more options

      Thanks for your response. When i use the xcopy command with Xcopy source [Destination] /E /O this switch. My NTFS permission remain to the destination folder but sharing permission was removed. I want to do copy or move the share folder with same permission like share and ntfs permission. Please suggest.

        Share settings are in the registry.
        You can easily copy the shares by using hyena.

        Or use regedit:

          ...Or you might consider Permcopy for share level permissons.
