Hi, we have a server who is not a member of our domain (workgroup). We are trying to work on that server from a PC who is a member of our current domain. We keep getting "access denied" which tells me it's a permissions issue. We basically trying to import a WAV file into a program we use and access that program from a web type interface.

Is there any way of giving either a machine or user special permissions on that server without it being on our domain? I tried giving access by using the domain\user type setup but it didn't work.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

    Re: Permissions

You can try creating a local user on the server with the same username and password as the domain user logged onto the XP workstation.

Hi, check Simple File Sharing - this may causing problems not permissions, It should be disabled.
